What is zipper.app
zipper.app is:
Zipper is a tool for extracting and viewing archive files for GNUstep. It provides the following features:
- Decompression of Tar (.tar.gz, .tar.bz2, .tar.xz), LHA (.lha, .lzx), RAR (.rar), ZIP (.zip), 7z (.7z, .7za), ZOO (.zoo), ACE (.ace) and ARJ (.arj) archives
- Archive creation (.tar.gz, .tar.bz2, .tar.xz, .lha, .zip, .7z/.7za and .zoo)
- GNUstep “Create archive” service
There are three methods to install zipper.app on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install zipper.app Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install zipper.app using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install zipper.app

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install zipper.app using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install zipper.app
Install zipper.app Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install zipper.app using aptitude by running the following command:
