What is yamagi-quake2-core
yamagi-quake2-core is:
This is the Yamagi Quake II Server, an enhanced Version of id Software’s Quake II. This code is based upon Icculus Quake II, which itself is built upon id Software’s original code drop. Additional code and patches by many contributors were used.
This package contains files common to the client and the server, and a dedicated server engine is intended to be used via the wrapper script and init scripts in the quake2-server package.
There are three methods to install yamagi-quake2-core
on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get

and aptitude

Update apt database with apt-get

sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install yamagi-quake2-core
using apt-get

Update apt database with apt

sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install yamagi-quake2-core

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
