What is xserver-xorg-input-libinput

xserver-xorg-input-libinput is:

This package provides the driver for input devices using libinput library. It can handle keyboards, mice and touchpads, and essentially replaces the separate -evdev and -synaptics drivers.

This package is built from the X.org xf86-input-libinput driver module.

There are three methods to install xserver-xorg-input-libinput on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
