Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install xfrisk
on Ubuntu.
What is xfrisk
xfrisk is:
Risk is a war board game played on a map of the world. You control a group of armies and attempt to capture large sections of the world and try to stop your opponents from doing the same thing. You can also choose to play with a mission that you have to accomplish before your opponents do.
xfrisk allows you to play risk against other players over TCP/IP and includes 3 different AI players.
There are three methods to install xfrisk
on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install xfrisk Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install xfrisk
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install xfrisk
Install xfrisk Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install xfrisk
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install xfrisk
Install xfrisk Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install xfrisk
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install xfrisk
How To Uninstall xfrisk on Ubuntu
To uninstall only the xfrisk
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove xfrisk
Uninstall xfrisk And Its Dependencies
To uninstall xfrisk
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove xfrisk
Remove xfrisk Configurations and Data
To remove xfrisk
configuration and data from Ubuntu we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge xfrisk
