xfonts-intl-arabic is:

This package includes some Arabic fonts (digits and single and double column characters). You will need these fonts if you plan to view, print, or author documents written in an Arabic script.

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
