In this tutorial we learn how to install xdeview on Ubuntu.

What is xdeview

This is an X11-based decoder for files encoded with the following formats: uuencode, xxencode, BASE64, yEncoding, quoted printable, and BinHex.

There are three methods to install xdeview on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update
