xcolorsel is an X utility that displays the contents of the X color list file (/etc/X11/rgb.txt) together with tiles showing how the color looks on your screen. You can cut the color names/definitions in various formats (suitable for resource files or C source) so they can be pasted directly into source codes or resources.
There are three methods to install xcolorsel on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install xcolorsel Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install xcolorsel using apt-get by running the following command:
