In this tutorial we learn how to install xca on Ubuntu.

What is `xca`

xca is:

XCA creates and manages Certificate authorities and helps the user to create and manage keys, certificates, certificate sign requests, certificate revocation lists etc.

All data is saved in an encrypted, portable database, and can be exported in various standard formats. XCA is also available for MacOS X and Windows systems.

For a good workflow, certificate templates can be defined to make the creation of new certificates an easy task.

There are three methods to install xca on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install xca Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install xca using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install xca

Install xca Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install xca using apt by running the following command:
