In this tutorial we learn how to install xavante
on Ubuntu.
What is xavante
xavante is:
This package contains xavante, a Lua HTTP 1.1 Web server that uses a modular architecture based on URI mapped handlers. Xavante currently offers a file handler, a redirect handler and a CGILua handler. Those are used for general files, URI remapping and CGILua scripts respectively.
The CGILua handler is considered optional thus xavante just recommends the packages needed for that handler.
There are three methods to install xavante
on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install xavante Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install xavante
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install xavante

How To Uninstall xavante on Ubuntu
To uninstall only the xavante
package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove xavante
