What is wx-common
wx-common is:
wxWidgets (formerly known as wxWindows) is a class library for C++ providing GUI components and other facilities on several popular platforms (and some unpopular ones as well).
This package provides common support files not bound to any particular wxWidgets release, such as font metrics required by some ports, and miscellaneous developer aids and binary utilities.
There are three methods to install wx-common
on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install wx-common Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install wx-common
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install wx-common
