What is workrave-cinnamon
workrave-cinnamon is:
Workrave is a program that assists in the recovery and prevention of Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI). The program frequently alerts you to take micro-pauses, rest breaks and restricts you to your daily limit.
It includes a system tray applet that works with GNOME and KDE and has network capabilities to monitor your activity even if switching back and forth between different computers is part of your job.
Workrave offers many more configuration options than other similar tools.
This package includes a Workrave extension for Cinnamon.
There are three methods to install workrave-cinnamon on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install workrave-cinnamon Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install workrave-cinnamon using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install workrave-cinnamon
Install workrave-cinnamon Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install workrave-cinnamon using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install workrave-cinnamon
Install workrave-cinnamon Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install workrave-cinnamon using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install workrave-cinnamon
How To Uninstall workrave-cinnamon on Ubuntu
To uninstall only the workrave-cinnamon package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove workrave-cinnamon
Uninstall workrave-cinnamon And Its Dependencies
To uninstall workrave-cinnamon and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove workrave-cinnamon
Remove workrave-cinnamon Configurations and Data
To remove workrave-cinnamon configuration and data from Ubuntu we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge workrave-cinnamon
Remove workrave-cinnamon configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove workrave-cinnamon configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge workrave-cinnamon
