In this tutorial we learn how to install welle.io on Ubuntu.

What is welle.io

welle.io is:

This is an open source DAB and DAB+ software defined radio (SDR) with support for rtl-sdr (RTL2832U) and airspy. It supports high DPI and touch displays and it runs even on cheap computers like Raspberry Pi 2/3 and 100€ China Windows 10 tablets.

There are three methods to install welle.io on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install welle.io Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install welle.io using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install welle.io

Install welle.io Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install welle.io using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install welle.io

Install welle.io Using aptitude
