watcher-decision-engine is:
OpenStack Watcher provides a flexible and scalable resource optimization service for multi-tenant OpenStack-based clouds. Watcher provides a complete optimization loop-including everything from a metrics receiver, complex event processor and profiler, optimization processor and an action plan applier. This provides a robust framework to realize a wide range of cloud optimization goals, including the reduction of data center operating costs, increased system performance via intelligent virtual machine migration, increased energy efficiency-and more!
This package contains the Watcher decision engine.
There are three methods to install watcher-decision-engine on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install watcher-decision-engine Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install watcher-decision-engine using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install watcher-decision-engine
Install watcher-decision-engine Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install watcher-decision-engine using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install watcher-decision-engine

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
