The VXI-11 protocol is used for communication with test and measurement equipment. It provides a “virtual” representation of the command, event and abort channels specified in the LXI protocol.

There are three methods to install vxi-dev on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
