on Ubuntu.
What is vsmartcard-vpcd
vsmartcard-vpcd is:
vpcd allows smart card applications to access the vpicc through the PC/SC API. By default vpcd opens slots for communication with multiple vpicc’s on localhost on port 35963 and port 35964.
The |vpicc| does not need to run on the same machine as the vpcd, and can connect over the internet for example.
There are three methods to install vsmartcard-vpcd
on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install vsmartcard-vpcd Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get

After updating apt database, We can install vsmartcard-vpcd

How To Uninstall vsmartcard-vpcd on Ubuntu
To uninstall only the vsmartcard-vpcd
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove vsmartcard-vpcd
