In this tutorial we learn how to install virulencefinder
on Ubuntu.
What is virulencefinder
virulencefinder is:
The VirulenceFinder service contains one Python script virulencefinder.py which is the script of the latest version of the VirulenceFinder service. VirulenceFinder identifies viruelnce genes in total or partial sequenced isolates of bacteria - at the moment only E. coli, Enterococcus, S. aureus and Listeria are available.
There are three methods to install virulencefinder
on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install virulencefinder Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install virulencefinder
using apt-get
by running the following command:
