Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install unadf on Ubuntu.
What is unadf
unadf is:
Tool for extracting and listing files in an Amiga Disk File.
Amiga Disk File aka ADF is a file format used by Amiga computers and emulators to store images of disks. ADF is not really a file format but actually a track-by-track dump of the disk data as read by the Amiga operating system, and so the “format” is really fixed-width AmigaDOS data tracks appended one after another and held in a file.
There are three methods to install unadf on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install unadf Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install unadf using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install unadf
Install unadf Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install unadf using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install unadf
Install unadf Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install unadf using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install unadf
How To Uninstall unadf on Ubuntu
To uninstall only the unadf package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove unadf
Uninstall unadf And Its Dependencies
To uninstall unadf and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove unadf
Remove unadf Configurations and Data
To remove unadf configuration and data from Ubuntu we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge unadf
