In this tutorial we learn how to install uima-examples on Ubuntu.
What is uima-examples
uima-examples is:
Apache UIMA is an implementation of the OASIS-UIMA specifications.

Unstructured Information Management applications are software systems that analyze large volumes of unstructured information in order to discover knowledge that is relevant to an end user.
An example UIM application might ingest plain text and identify entities, such as persons, places, organizations; or relations, such as works-for or located-at.
This package provides some examples of UIMA components.
There are three methods to install uima-examples on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install uima-examples Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install uima-examples using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install uima-examples

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install uima-examples using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install uima-examples
Install uima-examples Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
