What is uc-echo
uc-echo is:
ECHO is an error correction algorithm designed for short-reads from next-generation sequencing platforms such as Illumina’s Genome Analyzer II. The algorithm uses a Bayesian framework to improve the quality of the reads in a given data set by employing maximum a posteriori estimation.
There are three methods to install uc-echo on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install uc-echo Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install uc-echo using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install uc-echo
