In this tutorial we learn how to install u-boot-nezha on Ubuntu.

What is u-boot-nezha

u-boot-nezha is:

Das U-Boot is a cross-platform bootloader for embedded systems, used as the default boot loader by several board vendors. It is intended to be easy to port and to debug, and runs on many supported architectures, including PPC, ARM, MIPS, x86, m68k, NIOS, and Microblaze.

This package includes boot loaders for the Allwinner Nezha board. For booting you additionally need the nezha-boot0 package.

There are three methods to install u-boot-nezha on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install u-boot-nezha Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install u-boot-nezha using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install u-boot-nezha

Install u-boot-nezha Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install u-boot-nezha using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install u-boot-nezha

Install u-boot-nezha Using aptitude

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude update

After updating apt database, We can install u-boot-nezha using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install u-boot-nezha

How To Uninstall u-boot-nezha on Ubuntu

To uninstall only the u-boot-nezha package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove u-boot-nezha

Uninstall u-boot-nezha And Its Dependencies

To uninstall u-boot-nezha and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu, we can use the command below:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove u-boot-nezha

Remove u-boot-nezha Configurations and Data

To remove u-boot-nezha configuration and data from Ubuntu we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge u-boot-nezha

Remove u-boot-nezha configuration, data, and all of its dependencies

We can use the following command to remove u-boot-nezha configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge u-boot-nezha
