In this tutorial we learn how to install t-code on Ubuntu.
What is t-code
t-code is:
This package is provides tc2. the T-Code input environment for emacsen, which enables you to input Japanese characters with T-Code or TUT-Code.
T-Code is a Japanese input method that doesn’t use Kana-to-Kanji conversion. You can input Kanji characters directly in the same way of inputting Hiragana. TUT-Code is an alternative to T-Code.
This package provides emacs support for T-Code.
There are three methods to install t-code on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install t-code Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install t-code using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install t-code
Install t-code Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install t-code using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install t-code
Install t-code Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install t-code using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install t-code
How To Uninstall t-code on Ubuntu
To uninstall only the t-code package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove t-code
Uninstall t-code And Its Dependencies
To uninstall t-code and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove t-code
Remove t-code Configurations and Data
To remove t-code configuration and data from Ubuntu we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge t-code
Remove t-code configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove t-code configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge t-code
