How To Install svxreflector on Ubuntu

Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install svxreflector on Ubuntu.
What is svxreflector
svxreflector is:
The SvxReflector can interconnect multiple SvxLink nodes. Audio sent to the reflector is broadcast to all other nodes. Only one talker is allowed at a time.
For a client program implementing the EchoLink® protocol, please have a look at the ‘qtel’ package.
EchoLink® allows licensed amateur radio operators to communicate over the Internet, including remote access to station equipment. EchoLink® is a registered trademark of Synergenics, LLC.
There are three methods to install svxreflector on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install svxreflector Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install svxreflector using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install svxreflector
Install svxreflector Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install svxreflector using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install svxreflector
Install svxreflector Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install svxreflector using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install svxreflector
How To Uninstall svxreflector on Ubuntu
To uninstall only the svxreflector package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove svxreflector
Uninstall svxreflector And Its Dependencies
To uninstall svxreflector and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove svxreflector
Remove svxreflector Configurations and Data
To remove svxreflector configuration and data from Ubuntu we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge svxreflector
Remove svxreflector configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove svxreflector configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge svxreflector
