Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install stressant-doc on Ubuntu.
What is stressant-doc
stressant-doc is:
stressant is designed to run on new machines to make sure they will work reliably by testing various parts of the system (CPU, RAM, disk, network) by putting them under heavy load and try to detect failures.
As much as possible, stressant tries to reuse existing tools to perform the various tasks and aims to be run automatically.
This package ships the Sphinx documentation builtin to Stressant.
There are three methods to install stressant-doc on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install stressant-doc Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install stressant-doc using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install stressant-doc
Install stressant-doc Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install stressant-doc using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install stressant-doc
Install stressant-doc Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install stressant-doc using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install stressant-doc
How To Uninstall stressant-doc on Ubuntu
To uninstall only the stressant-doc package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove stressant-doc
Uninstall stressant-doc And Its Dependencies
To uninstall stressant-doc and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove stressant-doc
Remove stressant-doc Configurations and Data
To remove stressant-doc configuration and data from Ubuntu we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge stressant-doc
