Stimfit is a free, fast and simple program for viewing and analyzing electrophysiological data. It features an embedded Python shell that allows you to extend the program functionality by using numerical libraries such as NumPy and SciPy. This package contains the debug symbols for Stimfit.
There are three methods to install stimfit-dbg on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
