In this tutorial we learn how to install softether-common on Ubuntu.

What is softether-common

softether-common is:

SoftEther is an open-source cross-platform multi-protocol VPN program.

SoftEther supports:

• SSL-VPN, OpenVPN, IPsec, L2TP, MS-SSTP, L2TPv3, EtherIP
• VPN over ICMP and VPN over DNS
• Ethernet-bridging (L2) and IP-routing (L3) over VPN
• Embedded dynamic DNS and NAT traversal
• AES 256-bit and RSA 4096-bit encryption
• RADIUS and NT domain user authentication
• X.509 client certificates
• Packet logging
• Web GUI

This package ships the common files used by other SoftEther packages.
