Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install snacc-doc on Ubuntu.
What is snacc-doc
snacc-doc is:
Snacc is short for “Sample Neufeld ASN.1 to C Compiler” and ASN.1 stands for Abstract Syntax Notation One (ITU-T X.208/ISO 8824). Snacc supports a subset of ASN.1 1988. If you need features of ASN.1 1992 or later, snacc is not for you.

There are three methods to install snacc-doc on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install snacc-doc Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install snacc-doc using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install snacc-doc
Install snacc-doc Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install snacc-doc using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install snacc-doc
Install snacc-doc Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install snacc-doc using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install snacc-doc
How To Uninstall snacc-doc on Ubuntu
To uninstall only the snacc-doc package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove snacc-doc
Uninstall snacc-doc And Its Dependencies
To uninstall snacc-doc and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove snacc-doc
Remove snacc-doc Configurations and Data
To remove snacc-doc configuration and data from Ubuntu we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge snacc-doc
