Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install slang-tess on Ubuntu.
What is slang-tess
slang-tess is:
TESS is the (Te)st (S)ystem for (S)-Lang, which aims at reducing the workload and ad-hoc nature of regression testing S-Lang software, by collecting common testing elements into a single, easy-to-use framework.
TESS provides the S-Lang developer nominal mechanisms for tailoring the S-Lang environment and invoking functions with arbitrary inputs, while transparently inspecting and cleaning the stack, gathering pass/fail statistics, and providing error recovery from selected exceptions.
There are three methods to install slang-tess on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install slang-tess Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install slang-tess using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install slang-tess
Install slang-tess Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install slang-tess using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install slang-tess
Install slang-tess Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install slang-tess using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install slang-tess
How To Uninstall slang-tess on Ubuntu
To uninstall only the slang-tess package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove slang-tess
Uninstall slang-tess And Its Dependencies
To uninstall slang-tess and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove slang-tess
Remove slang-tess Configurations and Data
To remove slang-tess configuration and data from Ubuntu we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge slang-tess
