The GNU Scientific Library (GSL) is a vast collection of robust and well documented numerical functions. It includes support for many special functions, random numbers, interpolation and integration routines, and much more.

Many of the routines in the GSL may be made available to the S-Lang interpreter via the GSL modules included in this package.

There are three methods to install slang-gsl on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install slang-gsl Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install slang-gsl using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install slang-gsl

Install slang-gsl Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install slang-gsl using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install slang-gsl

Install slang-gsl Using aptitude

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude update

After updating apt database, We can install slang-gsl using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install slang-gsl

How To Uninstall slang-gsl on Ubuntu

To uninstall only the slang-gsl package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove slang-gsl

Uninstall slang-gsl And Its Dependencies

To uninstall slang-gsl and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu, we can use the command below:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove slang-gsl

Remove slang-gsl Configurations and Data

To remove slang-gsl configuration and data from Ubuntu we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge slang-gsl

Remove slang-gsl configuration, data, and all of its dependencies

We can use the following command to remove slang-gsl configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge slang-gsl
