One of the questions that it’s nice to be able to answer about a pair of files is the degree of similarity between them. This command-line tool is useful for estimating the “degree of similarity” between a pair of nominally sequential files such as textfiles. The tool uses Manassas’s “shingleprinting” technique.
There are three methods to install simhash on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install simhash Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install simhash using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install simhash

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
