Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install sightcalibrator on Ubuntu.
What is sightcalibrator
sightcalibrator is:
User-friendly application to calibrate mono and stereo cameras.
SightCalibrator can take images, video files, or any supported camera device as input. It detects the presence of a checkboard in images. The parameters of the checkboard can be customized. Individual images can then be marked to be used in the computation of the calibration. Last, the intrinsic and extrinsic parameters can be exported in OpenCV format, Yaml or XML.
There are three methods to install sightcalibrator on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install sightcalibrator Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
