What is sdkmanager

A drop-in replacement for sdkmanager from the Android SDK written in Python. It implements the exact API of the sdkmanager (https://developer.android.com/studio/command-line/sdkmanager) command line. It only deviates from that API if it can be done while being 100% compatible.
The project also attempts to maintain the same terminal output so it can be compatible with things that scrape sdkmanager output.
There are three methods to install sdkmanager on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install sdkmanager Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install sdkmanager using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install sdkmanager

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install sdkmanager using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install sdkmanager
Install sdkmanager Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install sdkmanager using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install sdkmanager
How To Uninstall sdkmanager on Ubuntu
To uninstall only the sdkmanager package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove sdkmanager
Uninstall sdkmanager And Its Dependencies
To uninstall sdkmanager and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove sdkmanager
Remove sdkmanager Configurations and Data
To remove sdkmanager configuration and data from Ubuntu we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge sdkmanager
