It conforms to the R4RS Scheme standard, and compiles Scheme sources to C as an intermediate step, allowing easy integration with external libraries. Also included is an interpreter, for development, along with some X11 interfaces and an X11-enabled interpreter. Due to a variety of clever techniques, the system is quite fast.
There are three methods to install scheme2c on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install scheme2c Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install scheme2c using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install scheme2c
