Rotter is a Recording of Transmission / Audio Logger for JACK. It was designed for use by radio stations, who are legally required to keep a recording of all their output. Rotter runs continuously, writing to a new file every hour.
There are three methods to install rotter on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install rotter Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install rotter using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install rotter
Install rotter Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install rotter using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install rotter
Install rotter Using aptitude
