Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install renrot on Ubuntu.
What is renrot
renrot is:
RenRot renames files according the DateTimeOriginal and FileModifyDate EXIF tags, if they exist. Otherwise, the name will be set according to the current timestamp. Additionally, it rotates JPEG images and their thumbnails, using the Orientation EXIF tag.
There are three methods to install renrot on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install renrot Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install renrot using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install renrot
