What is radsecproxy
radsecproxy is:
radsecproxy is a generic RADIUS proxy that in addition to usual RADIUS UDP transport also supports TLS (RadSec). It aims to be flexible while at the same time small in size and memory footprint, efficient and easy to configure.
It can be useful as a proxy on site boundaries or in other complex RADIUS routing topologies. It supports both IPv4 and IPv6.
There are three methods to install radsecproxy on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install radsecproxy Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install radsecproxy using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install radsecproxy

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install radsecproxy using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install radsecproxy
Install radsecproxy Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install radsecproxy using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install radsecproxy
How To Uninstall radsecproxy on Ubuntu
To uninstall only the radsecproxy package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove radsecproxy
Uninstall radsecproxy And Its Dependencies
To uninstall radsecproxy and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove radsecproxy
Remove radsecproxy Configurations and Data
To remove radsecproxy configuration and data from Ubuntu we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge radsecproxy
