Introduction

In this tutorial we learn how to install r-cran-g.data on Ubuntu.

What is r-cran-g.data

r-cran-g.data is:

g.data creates and maintains delayed-data packages (DDP’s). Data stored in a DDP are available on demand, but do not take up memory until requested. You attach a DDP with g.data.attach(), then read from it and assign to it in a manner similar to S-Plus, except that you must run g.data.save() to actually commit to disk.

There are three methods to install r-cran-g.data on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install r-cran-g.data Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update
