Introduction

In this tutorial we learn how to install r-cran-calibratr on Ubuntu.

What is r-cran-calibratr

r-cran-calibratr is:

Transforms your uncalibrated Machine Learning scores to well-calibrated prediction estimates that can be interpreted as probability estimates. The implemented BBQ (Bayes Binning in Quantiles) model is taken from Naeini (2015, ISBN:0-262-51129-0). Please cite this paper: Schwarz J and Heider D, Bioinformatics 2019, 35(14):2458-2465.

There are three methods to install r-cran-calibratr on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install r-cran-calibratr Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install r-cran-calibratr using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install r-cran-calibratr

Install r-cran-calibratr Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install r-cran-calibratr using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install r-cran-calibratr

Install r-cran-calibratr Using aptitude

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude update

After updating apt database, We can install r-cran-calibratr using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install r-cran-calibratr

How To Uninstall r-cran-calibratr on Ubuntu

To uninstall only the r-cran-calibratr package we can use the following command:

To remove r-cran-calibratr configuration and data from Ubuntu we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge r-cran-calibratr

Remove r-cran-calibratr configuration, data, and all of its dependencies

We can use the following command to remove r-cran-calibratr configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
