This package provides an interface between HDF5 and R. HDF5’s main features are the ability to store and access very large and/or complex datasets and a wide variety of metadata on mass storage (disk) through a completely portable file format. The rhdf5 package is thus suited for the exchange of large and/or complex datasets between R and other software package, and for letting R applications work on datasets that are larger than the available RAM.

There are three methods to install r-bioc-rhdf5 on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install r-bioc-rhdf5 Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install r-bioc-rhdf5 using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install r-bioc-rhdf5

Install r-bioc-rhdf5 Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install r-bioc-rhdf5 using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install r-bioc-rhdf5

Install r-bioc-rhdf5 Using aptitude

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude update

After updating apt database, We can install r-bioc-rhdf5 using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install r-bioc-rhdf5

How To Uninstall r-bioc-rhdf5 on Ubuntu

To uninstall only the r-bioc-rhdf5 package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove r-bioc-rhdf5

Uninstall r-bioc-rhdf5 And Its Dependencies

To uninstall r-bioc-rhdf5 and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu, we can use the command below:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove r-bioc-rhdf5

Remove r-bioc-rhdf5 Configurations and Data

To remove r-bioc-rhdf5 configuration and data from Ubuntu we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge r-bioc-rhdf5

Remove r-bioc-rhdf5 configuration, data, and all of its dependencies

We can use the following command to remove r-bioc-rhdf5 configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge r-bioc-rhdf5
