What is quitcount
quitcount is:
QuitCount is a simple counter that shows what you spared since you quit smoking. Once you tell it the date you quit, how much you smoked, and how much it cost, it’ll tell you how many cigarettes you didn’t smoke since, and how much it makes in terms of money, tar, and life expectancy.
There are three methods to install quitcount on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install quitcount Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install quitcount using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install quitcount
Install quitcount Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install quitcount using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install quitcount
Install quitcount Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update

To uninstall only the quitcount package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove quitcount
Remove quitcount Configurations and Data
To remove quitcount configuration and data from Ubuntu we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge quitcount
