In this tutorial we learn how to install qtractor on Ubuntu.
What is qtractor
qtractor is:
This is a MIDI/Audio multi-track sequencer application written in C++.
The Jack Audio Connection Kit (JACK) for audio, and the Advanced Linux Sound Architecture (ALSA) for MIDI, are the main infrastructures to evolve as a fairly-featured Linux Desktop Audio Workstation GUI, especially dedicated to the personal home-studio.
There are three methods to install qtractor on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install qtractor Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install qtractor using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install qtractor

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install qtractor using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install qtractor
