In this tutorial we learn how to install qlcplus-data on Ubuntu.
What is qlcplus-data
qlcplus-data is:
Q Light Controller Plus is a software lighting desk for controlling DMX or analog lighting systems like moving heads, dimmers, scanners.
This project is a fork of the great QLC project written by Heikki Junnila that aims to continue the QLC development and to introduce new features. The primary goal is to bring QLC+ at the level of other lighting control commercial software.
This package contains architecture-independent data files.
There are three methods to install qlcplus-data on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install qlcplus-data Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install qlcplus-data using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install qlcplus-data
Install qlcplus-data Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install qlcplus-data using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install qlcplus-data
Install qlcplus-data Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install qlcplus-data using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install qlcplus-data
How To Uninstall qlcplus-data on Ubuntu
