In this tutorial we learn how to install python3-txaio on Ubuntu.

What is `python3-txaio`

python3-txaio is:

Txaio is a helper library for writing code that runs unmodified on both Twisted and asyncio.

This is like six , but for wrapping over differences between Twisted and asyncio so one can write code that runs unmodified on both (aka “source code compatibility”). In other words: users can choose if they want asyncio or Twisted as a dependency.

This package contains the Python 3.x module.

There are three methods to install python3-txaio on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install python3-txaio Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install python3-txaio using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install python3-txaio

How To Uninstall python3-txaio on Ubuntu

To uninstall only the python3-txaio package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove python3-txaio

Uninstall python3-txaio And Its Dependencies

To uninstall python3-txaio and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu, we can use the command below:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove python3-txaio

Remove python3-txaio Configurations and Data

To remove python3-txaio configuration and data from Ubuntu we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge python3-txaio
