What is python3-future
python3-future is:
Future is the missing compatibility layer between Python 2 and Python 3. It allows one to use a single, clean Python 3.x-compatible codebase to support both Python 2 and Python 3 with minimal overhead.
The imports have no effect on Python 3. On Python 2, they shadow the corresponding builtins, which normally have different semantics on Python 3 versus 2, to provide their Python 3 semantics.
This package contains the Python 3.x module.
There are three methods to install python3-future on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install python3-future Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install python3-future using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo apt-get -y autoremove python3-future

To remove python3-future configuration and data from Ubuntu we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge python3-future
