What is python3-eventlet
python3-eventlet is:
Eventlet allows you to change how you run your code, not how you write it.
It uses epoll or libevent for highly scalable non-blocking I/O. Coroutines ensure that the developer uses a blocking style of programming that is similar to threading, but provide the benefits of non-blocking I/O. The event dispatch is implicit, which means you can easily use Eventlet from the Python interpreter, or as a small part of a larger application.
It’s easy to get started using Eventlet, and easy to convert existing applications to use it. Start off by looking at examples, common design patterns, and the list of the basic API primitives.
This package provides the Python 3.x module.
There are three methods to install python3-eventlet on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install python3-eventlet Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install python3-eventlet using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install python3-eventlet
Install python3-eventlet Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install python3-eventlet using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install python3-eventlet
Install python3-eventlet Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install python3-eventlet using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install python3-eventlet
How To Uninstall python3-eventlet on Ubuntu
To uninstall only the python3-eventlet package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove python3-eventlet
Uninstall python3-eventlet And Its Dependencies
To uninstall python3-eventlet and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove python3-eventlet
Remove python3-eventlet Configurations and Data
To remove python3-eventlet configuration and data from Ubuntu we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge python3-eventlet
Remove python3-eventlet configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove python3-eventlet configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge python3-eventlet
