What is python-babel-localedata
python-babel-localedata is:
Babel is composed of two major parts. First tools to build and work with gettext message catalogs. Second a Python interface to the CLDR (Common Locale Data Repository), providing access to various locale display names, localized number and date formatting, etc.
This package contains the locale data files used by both python-babel and python3-babel.
There are three methods to install python-babel-localedata
on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude

Install python-babel-localedata Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install python-babel-localedata
