In this tutorial we learn how to install projecteur on Ubuntu.
What is projecteur
projecteur is:
Projecteur is a virtual laser pointer for use with inertial pointers such as the Logitech Spotlight. Projecteur can show a colored dot, a highlighted circle or a zoom effect to act as a pointer. The location of the pointer moves in response to moving the handheld pointer device. The effect is much like that of a traditional laser pointer, except that it is captured by recording software and works across multiple screens.
There are three methods to install projecteur on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install projecteur Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install projecteur using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install projecteur
Install projecteur Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install projecteur using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install projecteur
Install projecteur Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install projecteur using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install projecteur
How To Uninstall projecteur on Ubuntu
To uninstall only the projecteur package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove projecteur
Uninstall projecteur And Its Dependencies
To uninstall projecteur and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove projecteur
Remove projecteur Configurations and Data
To remove projecteur configuration and data from Ubuntu we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge projecteur
Remove projecteur configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove projecteur configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
