The mod_geoip2 module for ProFTPD uses the MaxMind GeoIP library to look up geographic information on connecting clients, and to provide ACLs based on that geographic information.

There are three methods to install proftpd-mod-geoip2 on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
