How To Install picopore on Ubuntu

In this tutorial we learn how to install picopore on Ubuntu.
What is picopore
picopore is:
The Nanopore is a device to determine the sequences of single moleculres of DNA. No amplification. The output is gigantic and tools like this one help to reduce it.
Over time, other means have substitute the need for this one. Upstream has halted development. Some tutorials and pipelines of the Nanopore still refer to it, though.
There are three methods to install picopore on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install picopore Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install picopore using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install picopore
Install picopore Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install picopore using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install picopore
Install picopore Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install picopore using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install picopore
How To Uninstall picopore on Ubuntu
To uninstall only the picopore package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove picopore
