In this tutorial we learn how to install pia on Ubuntu.
What is pia
pia is:
XawTV is a set of software for watching and recording television channels and webcams.
This package provides a simple movie player used by xawtv and motv to play back movie files which are recorded from TV.
There are three methods to install pia on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install pia Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install pia using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install pia
