In this tutorial we learn how to install php-file-iterator on Ubuntu.

What is php-file-iterator

php-file-iterator is:

FilterIterator implementation that filters files based on a list of suffixes, prefixes, and other exclusion criteria used by PHPUnit.

PHPUnit is a unit testing suite for the PHP language, modelled on the xUnit testing framework.

There are three methods to install php-file-iterator on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
